98K bayonet.

Mauser 98 Kurz bayonet with a Bakelite handle. The blade is marked "E.u.F Hörster, Friedrich Emil und Fritz Hörster à Solingen" and dated 1939 and numbered 3693. The scabbard is numbered 2806 and manufactured by ASW, a code for E. & F. Hörster, dated 1943. The blade has been sharpened. Both the bayonet and the scabbard were used as a hammer by the soldier. There are no markings on the scabbard.
