Badge of the Luftfahrforschung 1938

Insignia of the German Academy of Aeronautical Research Members. Unnumbered badge, bronze class made by Lauer in Nuremberg. There are differences in the badges, between the gold model and the bronze model, the silver model being extremely rare. The pin is square for the bronze model and round for the gold models, the talons are smooth on the bronze but stylized on the gold model. Marking "LN 1790". Missing the counterweight. Dimensions: 5.5cm long, 5cm wide.
