Green-painted, carved cane featuring a snake coiled around the shaft, dating from the French, "Drôle de guerre" in 1939/40. It bears the owner's initials ("MV") and the regiment details ("15ème RDP" – 15th Motorized Dragoon Regiment), along with the date "39". This regiment was re-formed in September 1939.
