US M43 Combat Service Boot

Resoled M43 service shoes; they match in style but are slightly mismatched in size, having belonged to the same individual—suggesting the soldier had one foot larger than the other. The soles are marked "US Army" and the heels "Strong Foot 79." One shoe is size 7½ D GJ, the other 8 D FL. There is an illegible ink marking. One shoe features brass buckles marked "RAU F.CO PROV R 1." The laces are tied in an identical manner.
